Position
As a Technical Sales Engineer within Allume Energy, you will assume a crucial role in driving the adoption and successful deployment of our pioneering SolShare product during a period of rapid growth. Within our efficient and collaborative team, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring M&E clients and other key stakeholders successfully integrate SolShare into their projects. Significant opportunities for professional development are available, and proactive contributions are highly valued.
The daily responsibilities of this role will encompass in-depth technical consulting, project management through the sales pipeline, and establishing strong relationships with new and existing technical partners. Occasional local and potentially wider site visits will be required as part of client and project engagement.
If you possess a strong interest in technology, excel at building professional relationships, and are eager to contribute to the advancement of sustainable living through consultative technical sales, we encourage you to submit your application.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support M&E Clients: Act as a technical consultant to M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) clients, providing design-in support to specify the SolShare solution correctly into their systems and project bids.
- Manage Project Pipeline: Oversee and manage projects as they move through the sales pipeline, ensuring all technical requirements are met for successful implementation and handover.
- Engage and Onboard Technical Stakeholders: Proactively identify, engage, and onboard new technical partners, such as consultants, contractors, and installers, providing them with the necessary expertise and training.
- Maintain Customer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong, ongoing technical relationships with key customer stakeholders, ensuring long-term satisfaction and identifying future commercial opportunities.
- Contribute to Product Strategy: Gather and communicate technical feedback and market requirements from customer conversations to the development team to inform the prioritisation of future product enhancements and sales collateral.
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrable strong electrical knowledge, ideally supported by a relevant academic degree or professional electrical qualifications.
- Minimum 2 years in a technical sales, application engineering, or pre-sales consulting role, preferably within the renewable energy, construction, or electrical sectors.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain a structured pipeline.
- Organised, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment.
- Confident working independently and representing Allume Energy with a professional and solution-focused approach.
- Familiarity with the use of CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot) for pipeline management is highly desirable.
