  • Driver Checker — Not Your Average Driving Job

Looking for a driving role with more personality, more variety and a lot more customer connection? This could be the one.

At Alltruck, our Driver Checker is one of the most visible faces of our business.

Yes, you’ll be out on the road delivering and collecting vehicles — but this is not your average driving job.

It is a customer service role first and foremost: meeting customers, building trust, making handovers feel easy, and making sure every vehicle leaves the right impression.

If you are the kind of person who notices the details, takes pride in doing things properly, and enjoys being trusted to represent a brand brilliantly, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be delivering and collecting vehicles while giving customers a friendly, professional and reassuring experience from start to finish.

You’ll make sure every vehicle is clean, smart, roadworthy and ready to represent Alltruck at its best.

You’ll carry out thorough vehicle checks, spotting and recording the important details — from damage and defects to fluid levels and presentation.

You’ll complete check sheets, rental agreements and admin accurately, helping everything run safely, legally and smoothly.

You’ll work closely with the Rental Vehicle Movements Manager and the wider team, keeping communication clear and stepping in to help where needed.

  • What We’re Looking For
  • You’re a people person who understands that great service is just as important as safe driving.
  • You’re thorough, careful and happy to get the details right every time.
  • You communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and managers.
  • You’re a team player who can also work confidently on your own.
  • You take safety, compliance and legal working hours seriously.
  • You hold an LGV Category C or C+E licence and have a basic understanding of commercial vehicles and trailers.
  • You’re smart, professional, courteous and patient — even when the day gets busy.
  • You know your way around routes and enjoy planning efficient journeys.
  • Why You’ll Love It

This role has variety, independence and plenty of interaction.

One minute you could be checking a vehicle so it is ready to roll; the next, you could be handing it over to a customer and making sure they feel looked after.

You’ll be trusted to do the job properly, represent Alltruck with pride and keep our fleet looking sharp.

So, if you want a driving role with a twist — one where your personality, professionalism and customer care matter just as much as your licence — come and join Alltruck.
