The Role:
We are seeking a full-time Technical Analyst with integration, infrastructure, security and strong public sector experience to work in a small team alongside client staff. Most work will be performed from home, however there will be occasional work on client site (London). The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. Please note that due to the nature of our work, successful applicants will be subject to UK Security Clearance checks.
Ideal candidates will specialise, or have proven experience in one or more of the following capability areas:
- Capturing of design within High-Level and Low-Level Designs underpinned by a risk-based approach to security.
- In-depth knowledge of non-functional requirements.
- Familiarity with full SDLC, including methodologies such as RAD and AGILE.
- Responsibility for technical architecture, security, testing and integration designs.
- This is a technical role so requires a working understanding of IT hardware, software, platforms and protocols.
- Experience in technical compliance.
The role will require:
- Working as part of a technical team.
- Working with systems integrators and software developers.
- Innovative work using the most appropriate tools and methods.
- Designing and documenting technical designs.
- Capturing and articulating security risk and any mitigations that can be offered.
- Confidence in the presentation of design options to the client, maintaining consideration with security risk impact.
- Supporting the testing and data migration activities.
- Ability to identify any issues with ability to analyse and report test activities and results.
- Overseeing of implementations.
- Participation and occasional leading and facilitation of client workshops, used for both requirements and training upon implementation.
Regarding knowledge, skills and experience, we require:
- Excellent verbal communication skills, to confidently and articulately present virtually and in person to clients; immediately creating positive impressions and establishing rapport.
- Strong documentation ability and written communication skills.
- Experienced user of JIRA or similar.
- Must be a team player. Working with and supporting colleagues is a critical success factor for employment at AllThorpe.
- 3 years' experience minimum in a Technical Analyst role (ideally within the public sector).
- A proactive, energised and ambitious attitude is vital.
- Educated to a minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT related degree.
- Relevant professional qualifications including public cloud certifications.
The salary for this role will be determined by level of experience within the range of £65,000-£105,000. There is also the option to work as a subcontractor for a day rate of £300-£450 dependent on experience.
Start Date & Interview Process:
Screening interviews will take place via a 20-minute Teams call with the Managing Partner. Successful shortlisting will then be followed by a competency interview of 30 minutes. There may be a final face-to-face meeting with one of the management team to ensure you have every opportunity to ensure a good fit.
