The Role

We are seeking full-time Business Analysts with business change, business case development and strong public sector experience to work in a small team alongside client staff. Most work will be performed from home, however there will be occasional work on client site (London). The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. Please note that due to the nature of our work, successful applicants will be subject to UK Security Clearance checks.

Ideal candidates will specialise, or have proven experience in one or more of the following capability areas:

  • Requirements capture and analysis using AGILE techniques
  • User stories, acceptance criteria, use cases and user journeys
  • User Acceptance Testing
  • Business process mapping and process re-engineering
  • Target Operating Model definition and delivery
  • Writing and delivering training material
  • Writing and executing test scripts
  • Experience in writing complete High level Business Cases

Responsibilities

The role will require:

  • Proven experience in designing, preparing and facilitating engaging user workshops to identify needs, requirements, objectives and priorities of stakeholders, ensuring meaningful business change and business case development.
  • Ability to ensure requirements are captured clearly, accurately and comprehensively with the use of user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases and user journeys.
  • Ability to work innovatively, using the most appropriate tools and methods.
  • Contribution to design and development of solutions that meet stakeholder needs, requirements objectives and priorities.
  • Ability to identify issues and risks with pragmatic mitigations.
  • Ability to prepare high quality Business Cases.
  • Ability to analyse and prepare test materials, execute tests and capture results.
  • Confidence in leading client workshops; communicating with confidence and ensuring emphasis on impact to generate adoption.
  • Ability to assess impact of changes in a multifaceted manner.

Qualifications and Experience

Regarding knowledge, skills and experience, we require:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, to confidently and articulately present virtually and in person to clients; immediately creating positive impressions and establishing rapport.
  • Strong documentation ability and written communication skills.
  • Experienced user of JIRA or similar.
  • Must be a team-player. Working with and supporting colleagues is a critical success factor for employment at AllThorpe.
  • A proactive, energised and ambitious attitude is vital.
  • 3 years’ experience minimum in a Business Analyst role (ideally within the public sector).
  • Educated to a minimum of A’Levels and some form of relevant further education or hands-on experience.

Compensation

The salary for this role will be determined by level of experience within the range of £36,000 - £65,000. There is also the option to work as a subcontractor for a day rate of £300-£450 dependent on experience.

Start Date & Interview Process

Screening interviews will take place via a 20-minute Teams call with either HR or one of the Partners. Successful shortlisting will then be followed by a competency interview of 30 minutes. There may be a final face-to-face meeting with one of the management team to ensure you have every opportunity to ensure a good fit.
