All Things Butter was created to educate and showcase how great Butter can elevate everyday eating. From humble toasting to decadent hosting, our mission is to place Butter at the forefront of the digi-food generation while celebrating the time-honoured traditions of British Farming & butter making. We are currently sold in Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Ocado plus many more.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As NPD manager at All Things Butter, you will get an opportunity to be the heart of the business, providing key insights to our core range and developing new ideas. As our NPD Manager you will do the following:

  • Own the full product journey - from back‑of‑napkin concept through test kitchen, pilot runs and factory scale‑up, all the way onto a chilled shelf.
  • Translate vision into reality - turning gastronomic ideas and culinary trends into process‑ready, commercially viable SKUs that delight retailers and consumers alike.
  • Cross-functional working - bridging chefs, suppliers, co‑manufacturers, brand, ops and commercials to keep every project on track for launch dates, margin targets and shelf‑life expectations.
  • Champion quality & compliance - ensuring every gram of butter that leaves our sites meets the gold standard for taste, food safety and provenance.

In short, you’ll combine creative flavour and category leadership with rigorous technical execution - helping AllThingsButter be category leading in the dairy industry.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate and validate new product ideas , recipes and seasonal variations to an agreed innovation pipeline.
  • Optimise and redevelop current SKUs for flavour , nutrition, cost of goods (COGs), shelf‑life and sustainability.
  • Lead factory trials: draft trial protocols, manage run‑plans, analyse results and recommend next steps.
  • Own critical paths -coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders to keep samples, packaging, artwork and QAS documents launch‑ready.
  • Support the Operations team with sourcing and approving raw materials and packaging , negotiating with suppliers for MOQ, lead‑times and spec compliance.Build and maintain all technical documentation (specs, HACCP, traceability, allergen data, microbiological testing schedules).

YOU ARE

  • Detail focused, with a passion for problem solving and getting the job done in a fast-

paced environment

  • A self-starter who is super organised and keen to get stuck in within a dynamic team that is shaking up the dairy industry
  • Awareness in Microbiology (highly desirable)
  • Degree/HND or equivalent in food related subject such as Food Technology / Food science (highly desirable)
  • Level 3 Food Safety (highly desirable)
  • Dairy experience (highly desirable)
