We are now looking for a reliable and proactive Waste Operative to support day‑to‑day operations at our busy Gloucester site.
Role Overview
As Assistant Washplant Operative, you will play an essential part in keeping the site and plant running smoothly. You will be responsible for supporting the supervisor maintaining a safe and efficient plant, ensuring the site remains clean, organised, and compliant with environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating the Wash Plant, ensuring maximum production and minimising down time
- Ensuring products produced meet specification standards
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness across the site
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Conduct daily checks on equipment, PPE and tools
- Communicate professionally with drivers, colleagues, and site staff
- Report any hazards, issues, or non‑compliance to the management team
About You
- Previous experience operating crushers, screens and aggregate washing plants is an advantage
- Good mechanical knowledge
- Willingness to learn and undertake training
- Good work ethic and a proactive, team‑focused attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious
