Your role in the team:

We are seeking a Software Engineer Senior Consultant I with strong Java full-stack development experience to modernize enterprise applications with intelligent automation and agentic capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and enterprise-scale systems that support critical business capabilities. The role contributes across design, development, quality engineering, and delivery, with a strong focus on application reliability, production support, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong front-end development skills, solid SQL expertise, hands-on Python experience, and the ability to integrate AI/ML capabilities into enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Enhance and modernize existing Java-based web applications, ensuring stability, scalability, usability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Improve front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Angular, or similar.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data access, reporting, and performance tuning.
  • Refactor legacy code and implement best practices for maintainability and performance.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and delivery practices.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to the overall technical growth of the team.
  • Participate in product design discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Drive code quality through unit testing, code reviews, engineering standards, and maintainable design practices.
  • Take accountability for production support by investigating and resolving incidents, leading root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and reducing repeat issues.
  • Proactively monitor application health, performance, and reliability using tools such as Datadog or equivalent.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in full-stack development using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, code quality, and engineering productivity using GitHub Copilot or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with relational database systems such as SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Compliance Buddy or equivalent.
  • Experience with production support, incident management, API health monitoring, and observability tools such as Datadog or equivalent.

Desirable Skills:

  • Python development experience with generative AI frameworks and APIs, vector databases, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and LLM integration.
  • Experience with API management and API testing tools such as Apigee and Postman or equivalent.
  • Exposure to spec-driven development practices.
  • Experience with automated testing and application observability practices.
