Your role in the team:

We have an exciting opportunity for a recent HR graduate that has a keen interest to pursue a career in recruitment. We are looking for a proactive and people-focused individual who will help attract, engage, and hire exceptional early career talent. This role is an entry-level position and is ideal for someone who is passionate about building strong candidate experiences, collaborating with hiring teams, and leveraging AI-driven tools to streamline recruitment processes. As part of a modern Talent Acquisition team, you will support the full graduate hiring lifecycle - from talent attraction and university engagement to screening, interviewing, and onboarding - while continuously identifying ways to enhance efficiency, quality, and diversity in hiring. There will be the opportunity to develop and grow in the role to take on 'experienced hiring' assignments in due course.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Attraction & Engagement: Build strong relationships with relevant universities. Deliver engaging presentations at campus events, careers fairs, and virtual recruitment activities. Contribute to employer branding initiatives to promote our graduate programmes.
  • Candidate Selection & Management: Manage high-volume candidate pipelines using applicant tracking systems (ATS). Conduct CV screening and pre-assessment using structured, data-driven methods. Facilitate assessment centres, interviews, and feedback communication. Ensure a high-quality, inclusive candidate experience throughout all stages.
  • AI-Enhanced Recruiting & Process Optimisation: Use AI tools for tasks such as sourcing, scheduling, job description optimisation, and talent insights. Analyse recruitment data to identify trends, reduce time-to-hire, and improve selection outcomes. Champion the adoption of new technologies to make processes more efficient and effective. Maintain ethical and responsible use of AI to reduce bias and support fair selection practices.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and define selection criteria. Provide guidance on early-career hiring best practices. Work collaboratively with HR and business teams to support onboarding and early-talent development.

Skills & Qualifications

  • All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR.
  • Up to 1 year's experience in an HR/recruitment related role. This can be achieved during a work placement or post graduation.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools (e.g., sourcing tools, automation platforms, assistant schedulers).
  • Comfortable working with data and technology to support decision-making.
  • Passion for early-career talent development and diversity in hiring.

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualified.
  • Experience using ATS or CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-supported recruitment platforms (e.g automated scheduling, talent intelligence tools).
  • Understanding of behavioural interviewing or competency-based assessment.
  • Experience delivering presentations or facilitating group assessments.
  • Knowledge of emerging HR technology trends and recruiting best practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have supervisory duties.
