Product Engineer - Lead Consultant (Hybrid) in Belfast

Your role in the team

The Software Engineer Lead Consultant will be part of a new team expansion focused on building risk and compliance engineering solutions from the ground up. The Software Engineer Lead Consultant will contribute to the design, development, and ownership of full stack applications that support Line 1 Risk, with a strong emphasis on React based front end development and Python backend services. Working across the full software lifecycle, the engineer will help architect and implement modern, scalable solutions with AI capabilities, automate risk and compliance processes, and support applications in production against defined KPIs. The role requires hands on experience building web user interfaces, developing Python services, and collaborating within a growing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in inceptions and iteration planning meetings, infusing backlogs with technical input working in close partnership with the product manager.
• Partners in collaboration and strategy alignment across product portfolios (cross-product) in partnership with product managers, other peers and key stakeholders.
• Serves as an expert on one or more business domain and a distinguished advocate of multiple technology stacks and shares that knowledge across organizations.
• Leads and participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups.
• Leads and participates in retrospectives; demonstrating and encouraging each participant to provide feedback with empathy.
• Provides support for software products in user environments.
• Coaches the team and leads daily practices of using paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building products.
• Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in React JS.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience with Python.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in Front End Web Design.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with Asyncio.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in building AI based automation solutions.
