Your role in the team

We have a year-in-industry opportunity in our Marketing and Communications Team for students, starting in Summer 2026. The Marketing and Communications Placement will utilise internal communications, event management, external marketing, marketing analytics and social media platforms to support a busy team providing a range of services to all employees across Northern Ireland. This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate who wants experience of all elements of the marketing mix – such as social media, website management, other digital communications, print communications, photography, event management and PR. The successful candidate will take on a range of key activities to aid in the smooth running of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help implement marketing and communications plans and strategy to meet the company’s objectives in relation to recruitment marketing, internal communication, and employee engagement.
  • Ideation and creation of content for Allstate NI’s online presence – website and social media platforms.
  • Organization and co-ordination of Town Halls, Intranet & SharePoint sites, employee newsletters, events across our 2 sites and external promotion of company activities.
  • Monitor and report on all digital marketing activities, continuously identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Assist with the delivery of internal and external events, conferences and exhibitions.
  • Competitor analysis.
  • Conduct market research.
  • Work closely with our Graphic Design team in the creation of promotional material.
  • Liaising with suppliers to develop and order marketing merchandise and manage inventory.

Essential Skills

  • All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy.
  • On course to complete second year of a Marketing or Communications degree course by the end of June 2026 with a 2:1.
  • Please include a full list of module marks from your first year, and any current year to date. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of application.
