The Managing Engineer, Cloud Security Engineering is a hands-on engineering leader responsible for building and operating cloud security capabilities in production.

- Own the reliability, performance, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of the team’s products in production.
- Partner with Digital Product Managers, platform teams, and engineering stakeholders to align roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, and delivery plans.
- Build a strong engineering culture centered on modern delivery practices (test-driven development, pair programming), fast feedback, technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Translate complex cloud security needs into scalable engineering solutions, reusable patterns, and automated capabilities.
- Lead effective agile execution while keeping the team focused on delivery outcomes rather than process or ceremony.

- Deep experience securing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including cloud-native services, architectures, and security controls.
- Strong engineering proficiency with Python, Bash, Terraform, and cloud-native automation tools, with the ability to guide solution design, review code and infrastructure as code, and support the development of cloud security products.
- Ability to translate security requirements and risks into scalable engineering solutions, reusable patterns, and automated controls.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering initiatives, manage cross-team dependencies, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Desirable Skills
- Designing or operating security controls embedded into CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, or shared cloud platform services.
- Familiarity with containerized environments, including Kubernetes and Docker, and the security considerations associated with them.
- Proven ability to influence technical decisions and drive adoption of secure patterns, standards, and reusable capabilities across product areas.
- Demonstrated success mentoring senior engineers and developing emerging technical leaders to strengthen long-term team capability.
