We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant based in Bedford for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a long-established and global exporter with a well-regarded reputation.

Summary of the Warehouse Assistant role

  • Salary: GBP28,305 per annum + shift allowance
  • Location: Bedford
  • Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time
  • Hours: Working 4 on 4 off, rotational shifts of days and nights

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Assistant:

  • Picking of stock and ensuring all stock is stacked, maintained and secured to company standards.
  • Loading and unloading of stock.
  • Accurately record goods in for keying by the stock controller.
  • Ensure goods are received in good, clean condition and on time, reporting damage or irregularities where necessary.
  • Attend stock control meetings with management.

Requirements for a successful Warehouse Assistant:

  • A valid RITB or ITSAR Counterbalance Licence.
  • Previous warehouse and manual handling experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
