We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of People based near Milton Keynes to join one of our clients on a permanent full-time basis. This is a 100% office-based role and due to the location, own transport is required.
Summary of the Head of People role

- Hours: 35 hours Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Responsibilities of the Head of People
- Lead and support a small HR team.
- Work directly with key leaders and heads of business.
- Attend quarterly board meetings.
- Update and advise senior management and department heads on employment legislation, restructuring and training.
- Develop HR policies and procedures, keeping up to date with legislative changes.
- Manage employee benefits and the pension scheme.
- Develop training budgets and support managers with PDP's.
- Manage the recruitment process including writing job specifications, liaising with agencies & third parties, writing employment contracts and discipline and grievances.
- Responsible for managing and upholding GDPR policies and procedures including the destruction of confidential waste.
Requirements for a successful Head of People
- CIPD Level 7 qualified.
- Substantial HR Management experience at a senior level and within the commercial sector and working at board level.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a small HR team.
- Experience working with stakeholders and trustees.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A DBS check will be required for this role.
- Full driving licence due to location.
