We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MHE Trainer & Safety Coordinator based in Luton for one of our clients on a permanent basis. Our client is a well-established wholesale distributor.
Summary of the MHE Trainer & Safety Coordinator role
- Salary: £35,000
- Location: Luton
- Type of Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities of the MHE Trainer & Safety Coordinator
- Oversee the maintenance, availability, and user compliance with manual handling equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance contractor, schedule repairs, manage equipment utilisation, and track inventory.
- Schedule routine maintenance and carry out inspections of MHE.
- Coordinate with the external contractor for repairs.
- Deliver and maintain all training for all staff, including managing refreshers.
- Carry out observational audits.
- Ensure equipment meets safety standards and conduct certification renewals.
Requirements for a successful MHE Trainer & Safety Coordinator
- Experience within a similar role previously.
- Proven Health and Safety knowledge/compliance.
- RTITB certified.
- MHE train the trainer in accordance with ACOP L117.
- IOSH qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Emergency first aid at work trained.
- Fire Marshal.
