We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Miller/Turner based in Bedford for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Summary of the CNC Miller/Turner role Salary: Β£30,000 Location: Bedford Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am – 10:30am or Monday – Thursday 2:30pm – 11:00pm, Friday 10:00am – 3:00pm Responsibilities of the CNC Miller/Turner Refer to the drawing, tool list and set-up sheet to obtain appropriate tooling and measuring equipment and return upon completion of job. Mark out if required, load and unload components manually or by jib crane. Operate the CNC controls, having a basic understanding of machine tool programming. Check accuracy of first off Ensure required standards of safety are adhered to e.g machine cleanliness. Liaise with production engineering, quality and supervision in problem solving. Requirements for a successful CNC Miller/Turner Previous experience in setting and operating CNC turning and/or Milling and/or Mill/Turning machines. Able to lift and move heavy goods up to 20kg. Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Understanding of Geometric Tolerancing. Proven competency in different engineering measurement tools/techniques.
