Allstaff is recruiting for a Quality Performance Lead to join our client's team in Bridge of Weir. This is a visible, shop-floor focused role that works closely with Operations, Quality, Technical and Training teams to ensure quality standards are understood, followed and consistently achieved. The role will spend the majority of time on the manufacturing floor, observing process performance, coaching colleagues, identifying risks early and supporting teams to make the right decisions for product quality with the goal to make quality part of the business DNA.
Key Accountabilities:
- Take ownership for quality performance across the allocated site, ensuring products move through production in line with standards.
- Provide visible quality leadership, working closely with operational teams to identify risks and reinforce right-first-time behaviours.
- Coach and support colleagues to understand and apply quality standards, product expectations, and good manufacturing practice (GMP).
- Work collaboratively with Quality Improvement Lead, Technical and Operations Teams to identify recurring quality issues and implement CAPA.
- Monitor site quality performance using data and observation to reduce waste, rework and cost of poor quality.
- Support investigations into quality issues, customer concerns, non-conformances and internal failures.
- Support new product introductions, trials and process changes, including PPAP/PSW activities.
- Conduct audits, compliance checks and calibrations to ensure standards are upheld.
- Provide clear updates on site quality performance, risks, and actions to the Quality Excellence Manager.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Ideally 12 months’ experience within FMCG or manufacturing environments.
- Excellent understanding of quality standards, product specifications and process control.
- Proven ability to work with operational teams to drive improvement and resolve issues.
- Strong communication, influencing, and coaching skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills, with experience identifying root causes.
- Ability to interpret quality data and trends to identify risks.
- IT literate, able to use systems and data to support quality performance.
- Qualifications preferred but not essential; practical experience equally valued.
Work Pattern: 37-hour working week, day shift Monday to Friday. Flexible between the hours of 8am – 5.30pm with a 30-minute break each day.
