Allstaff Engineering Division are delighted to be partnering exclusively with Campbells Air Conditioning, one of Scotland’s leading HVAC companies. Their employees, customers and supply chain are the heart of their continued success and 2025 is an exciting year to further company growth.

Currently seeking an experienced, confident, Air Conditioning/HVAC/Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team.

This role will involve travelling to sites throughout the central belt approximately 50% of your working week. Own car and driving license are essential. This is a full-time permanent position. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8 am – 5.00 pm. Friday 8 am – 4.00 pm.

Main duties (not limited to) will include managing multiple projects up to the value of £1-2M from receiving the order through to client handover.

  • Preparing RAMS and Health & Safety documentation.
  • Ensuring all legal and compliance standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Liaising with suppliers to negotiate discounts, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and approving invoices.
  • Overseeing and coordinating onsite engineers, labourers, subcontractors, and commissioning engineers.
  • Scheduling and aligning HVAC tasks with other trades onsite on a weekly basis.
  • Attending weekly site meetings to engage with clients and coordinate site personnel.
  • Identifying contract variations and additional works, preparing quotations, and obtaining site instructions.
  • Anticipating potential project issues or risks, guiding the team in developing solutions, and ensuring their execution.
  • Ensuring each project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Compiling O&M manuals and conducting project handovers to clients.

Experience Required

  • At least 4 years’ experience as a mechanical/HVAC project engineer or similar role is essential.
  • A good understanding of HVAC systems, in particular Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Heating & Plumbing & BMS.
  • Degree/HNC/HND in a mechanical discipline (preferred – not essential).
  • Proven track record of project engineering on time, cost and to the appropriate SHEQ standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Competent in using Microsoft word, excel, outlook etc. i.e. Microsoft Office on window-based PC’s.
  • A full UK driving license.
