Allstaff Warehouse Division is recruiting a Warehouse Operations Manager for a permanent position based in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire. The role will be on site daily, with working hours Monday to Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm and Friday 8:30am–4:00pm. The manager will lead a fast‑paced, high‑volume warehouse supporting over 30 production lines and the global distribution of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations Management – lead all warehouse activities including goods‑in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch; ensure uninterrupted material flow and optimize layout, capacity utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy – maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through robust stock control, audits, cycle counts and discrepancy investigations; ensure product traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership & People Management – coach and develop a team of 40+ personnel; drive a high‑performance culture through clear objectives, accountability, recruitment, succession planning and employee development.
- Continuous Improvement – identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency; apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, monitor KPIs and deliver measurable performance improvements.
- Health, Safety & Compliance – promote a strong health and safety culture, ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and audit standards, and implement safe working practices and risk management processes.
- Systems & Process Management – manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms, maintain accurate reporting and procedures, and use data to support operational decision‑making.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – work closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Logistics teams; align warehouse operations with production schedules and customer demand, and support business growth and operational projects.
- Performance & KPI Management – monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, OTIF performance and labour efficiency, manage departmental budgets, cost control initiatives and provide regular performance reporting to senior leadership.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven Warehouse or Operations Management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong inventory management and stock accuracy expertise.
- Experience leading large teams in fast‑paced, high‑volume operations.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, WMS and ERP systems.
- Must have a strong FMCG manufacturing background.
