Allstaff Finance & Accountancy Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Management Accountant. A leading manufacturer with a portfolio of well-known brands are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team. With over 40 years of experience and exporting to over 70 countries worldwide, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation at the forefront of their industry.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 9:00am – 5:30pm
Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Assist in production of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Maintain and review Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Fixed Asset Register.
- Perform Balance Sheet, bank, and inter‑company account reconciliations.
- Run weekly supplier payments.
- Prepare VAT returns and audit files.
- Assist in year‑end accounts and liaise with external auditors and bankers.
- Review staff expenses and provide ad‑hoc reporting.
- Conduct product profitability and variance analysis, cost analysis, and stock valuation reviews.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred) or equivalent commercial training.
- Experience with Sage200 and Epicor preferred.
- Partially or fully qualified accountant.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Intermediate Excel proficiency.
- Initiative, problem‑solving and teamwork.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ professional accounting experience (36–60 months).
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Formal qualifications may be accepted in place of experience.
