Allstaff Warehouse Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative for well established company based in Glasgow. There will be some travel involved throughout Scotland, furthest south Whitehaven near Carlisle and furthest north Aberdeen. The hours are Monday to Friday 8 am β 5 pm (40 hours per week). Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Bendi forklift license
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will deliver a supporting role within the branch operation, to supply product to regional customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of new products to customers to and ensure warranty and waste product is returned to the branch in a timely manner.
- Warehouse duties.
- Supporting stock control process
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are adhered to.
- Uphold standards by adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Attend team meetings and contribute relevant ideas.
- Proactive attitude toward Health and Safety demonstrating engagement with safety campaigns and near miss reporting to improve safety and reduce workplace incidents.
Performance Objectives
- Ability to work with others in a team and under direction.
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work to schedules, prioritise and multitask.
Experience Required:
- Prior hands-on experience working in a warehouse setting is essential.
- Must hold a full UK driving license and be confident behind the wheel.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and working on your feet throughout the day.
- A valid Forklift Truck license is desirable. Preference will be given to those with a Bendi License
- The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, professional, and eager to build a long-term career.
