Allstaff Manufacturing Division is offering a role for an Aluminium Door Fabricator to join a busy manufacturing team based in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire. The position is full‑time (39 hours per week with 30 minutes lunch break) and offers a temporary to permanent opportunity with full product training where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble aluminium architectural door systems.
- Inspect and control the quality of products, ensuring compliance with drawings and customer specifications.
- Highlight any quality or production issues to ensure they are resolved promptly.
- Complete the assembly of customer orders to ensure on‑time delivery in full (OTIF).
- Eliminate waste and minimise unproductive activity.
- Ensure materials issued to the shop floor are protected and used correctly.
- Maintain a high standard of personal production performance, attendance, timekeeping and behaviour while following internal procedures.
- Comply with all health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area in line with 5S principles.
- Assist with the offloading of bulk materials and safe storage of stock.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, health, safety, environmental and duty of care requirements.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by management.
Experience Required
- Minimum 24 months’ experience within aluminium fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong attention to detail with experience using measuring equipment and maintaining high quality standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience may be accepted in place of formal qualifications.
