Our client is well established and has an excellent reputation in the Suffolk area for producing food to a 2 or 3 AA Rosette level. The Head Chef is looking for a talented pastry chef to run the pastry section as their own and develop the pastry team. This establishment is very busy, and the ideal candidate should have experience with high volume at a high standard. The friendly team all work well together, and it is important that any Pastry Chef looking to join this kitchen brigade understands teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating amazing Bread, Pastry, Desserts, Chocolates, Petite Fours, Ice Cream, Sorbets and other products as your imagination creates
  • Managing a Chef De Partie, Commis Chef and delegating work
  • Ordering and stock taking of all produce on section
  • Ensuring that the restaurant is always fully stocked with fresh produce to excite and encourage customer spend
  • Constantly seeking new ingredients and techniques to improve customer dining experience
  • Participate in Kitchen Team meetings
  • Make menu suggestions and understand costing implications
