We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Engineer based in Biggleswade for one of our clients on a full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Workshop Engineer role
- Salary: £16.56 - £19.16 per hour D.O.E.
- Location: Biggleswade
- Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
- Hours: 40 hour working week Monday to Friday
The role
As the Workshop Engineer your role will involve the following important duties:
- Carry out effective maintenance and repair work.
- Carry out routine pre-delivery inspections of new machines.
- Fit extras to machines where required - both factories approved and locally supplied.
- Perform all forms of repair and servicing to machines.
- Complete repair, overhaul and diagnosis of plant equipment.
- Maintaining clear communication with the Workshop Supervisor.
- Support and mentor engineering apprentices.
The experience required
As a successful Workshop Engineer, you will have the following:
- Full clean driving licence.
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 3 or above.
- Demonstratable service Engineer experience particularly working on major component overhaul refurbishments.
- Industry-related training such as CSCS card.
- Previous experience with service software and interfaces.
- Good communication skills.
