We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Support Operative based in Bedford for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.
Summary of the Workshop Support Operative role
- Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
- Location: Bedford
- Type of Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Monday-Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm, Friday 8.15am-1.45pm
Responsibilities of the Workshop Support Operative
- Assist with pressure testing of various pump components
- Assist with rigging and derigging
- Prepare pumps for dispatch
- Assist with general operation activities
- Use overhead cranes and forklift trucks to move large and heavy items
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Collection and delivery of smaller parts
Requirements for a successful Workshop Support Operative
- Experience working within a similar mechanical assembly environment
- Full UK driving license
- Qualified overhead crane and forklift user
- Good verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proactive and willingness to learn and develop technical skills
