The role…
As the Operations Administratoryour role will involve the following important duties:

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Head of Operations and supporting functions.
  • Maintain accurate operational, order and delivery information within the ERP/business management system.
  • Monitor aftermarket order progress, key dates and outstanding actions.
  • Support project, procurement and production teams with status updates, trackers, reports and follow-up actions.
  • Identify potential delays, issues or information gaps and elevate them to the appropriate manager.
  • Support operational, project, procurement and production meetings with accurate information and administration.
  • Maintain action trackers and ensure agreed actions are followed up to completion.
  • Coordinate information between departments to improve visibility and flow of work.
  • Support continuous improvement of operational processes, reporting and system data.
  • Ensure information is accurate, timely and readily available to support effective operational decision-making.
  • The experience required…
  • GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths, or relevant practical experience.
  • Previous experience in an operations administration, coordination, manufacturing administration or similar role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, OEM or industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting operational, project, procurement or production teams.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP or business management systems.
  • Good level of written and numerical literacy.
  • Experience with Power Query and/or Power BI would be advantageous.
  • As a successful Operations Administrator,you will have the following:
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities, priorities and deadlines.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to monitor and close outstanding actions.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing, production, procurement and order fulfilment processes.
  • Ability to identify potential operational issues and elevate them appropriately.
  • Proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential business information.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of the importance of cost, quality and delivery.
