We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.
Summary of the Field Service Engineer role
- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
- Location: Bedford
- Type of Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 40 Hours
Responsibilities
- Repair, refurbishment, installations & commissioning of machinery
- Travel across the UK and Ireland
- You will also be expected to travel to the Italian Head Office occasionally for training and machine testing and very occasionally deployed worldwide if required
- Overtime paid door-to-door outside of normal working hours
- Full product training will be provided
Requirements
- Qualified Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and fault find from them
- Ability to mechanically fault find and repair
- Good fault diagnosis / problem solving skills
- Basic PLC Fault Finding knowledge
- Willing to travel within the UK & Ireland (Some overseas travel may be required)
- Willing to work away from home for periods up to 5 days.
