Mechanical Fitter - Days or Shifts (Permanent) in Bedford

Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. Summary of the Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter role Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours Monday – Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm Friday – 8.15am-1.45pm Responsibilities of theSemi Skilled Mechanical Fitter Pressure testing of various pump components in line with production schedule Use overhead cranes and forklift trucks to move large and heavy items Loading/unloading of vehicles Sub-assembly of components, fettling or painting process Requirements for a successful Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter Experience working in a similar mechanical assembly environment Experience in working to production deadlines Pressure testing experience Experience in reading engineering drawings, manufacturing and quality check lists Experience in completion of manufacturing and check list paperwork Qualified overhead crane user and forklift user We recruit for permanent, temporary, and contract roles across multiple sectors.
