We have an exciting opportunity for a General/ Manual Machinist based in Bedfordshire for one of our clients on a Full time Permanent basis.
Summary of the General/ Manual Machinist role
- Salary: £14 - £16 per hour
- Location: Bedfordshire
- Type of Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 4:30 and Friday 7:30 to 12:30 (overtime available)
Responsibilities of the General/ Manual Machinist
- Capable of using manual lathes/ mills
- Must be able to use measuring equipment and hand tools
- Physically fit and reliable
- Maybe asked to do other duties if required
Requirements for a successful General/ Manual Machinist
- Experience working with metals (ideally bronze and stainless)
- Be able to read CAD or CAM drawings would be an advantage but not essential
- Work at high accurate tolerance
- Some CNC experience would be an advantage but not essential
