We are seeking an experienced Commercial MRICS Valuer in Scotland in a flexible homeworking capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional based in Scotland to work across varying commercial assets whilst enjoying the flexibility of remote working.

As a Senior Surveyor/Associate/Senior Associate level Commercial Valuer based in Scotland, you will be responsible for undertaking valuations across all commercial asset classes including retail, leisure, offices, industrial and mixed-use assets. You will be reporting to funds and banking clients, providing high-quality valuation advice and strategic support.

Reporting to both our London and Leeds offices, you will work as part of our nationwide team of circa 20 commercial valuers. You will benefit from Allsop's market-leading reputation and collaborative approach, whilst maintaining the autonomy and flexibility that comes with homeworking. Strong experience in the Scotland market is essential for this role.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake property inspections across all commercial asset classes including retail, leisure, offices, industrial and mixed-use assets throughout Scotland
  • Prepare comprehensive valuation reports for loan security purposes for banking clients
  • Deliver fund valuations and financial reporting for institutional clients using Valos
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations, both virtually and in person as required
  • Maintain and develop client relationships with funds and banking/lending institutions across Scotland and the UK
  • Utilise valuation software (KEL/Aprao/Argus) and Excel to produce accurate and timely valuations
  • Ensure all valuations comply with RICS Red Book standards and regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with colleagues across the London and Leeds offices to share real-time market knowledge
  • Manage workload effectively to meet client deadlines and service level agreements
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and pitch presentations

MAIN CAPABILITIES

  • MRICS qualified
  • A member of the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience in commercial valuations
  • Based in Scotland with strong experience and market knowledge of the Scottish commercial property market
  • Knowledge of Scottish property law and market dynamics
  • Proven experience across multiple commercial asset classes (retail, leisure, offices, industrial, mixed-use)
  • Good contact base with Scottish investment agents and occupational agents
  • Strong report writing skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Existing client relationships within the funds and banking/lending sectors in Scotland
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a homeworking environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in valuation software and Microsoft Excel
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for inspections and client meetings across Scotland
  • Confident in independent working whilst working as part of a wider team
