Allsop is a leading independent property consultancy with a strong reputation across commercial and residential real estate. As part of our continued growth, we are establishing a new Planning department and are seeking a Graduate Town Planner or Town Planner to join the team at an exciting early stage. You will support the delivery of planning advice across a broad range of development and property-led projects, working closely with colleagues across valuation, development, agency and asset management teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to help shape a new planning function within a well-established, market-leading business.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries.
- Undertaking planning research, site appraisals and policy analysis.
- Liaising with local planning authorities, consultants, development stakeholders and clients.
- Supporting colleagues across the business in providing strategic planning advice.
- Drafting technical reports, research notes and presentations.
MAIN CAPABILITIES
We are keen to hear from candidates at graduate or planner level. You will ideally have:
- A RTPI or RICS accredited degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline. RTPI chartered (desirable for Planner level role but not essential).
- A genuine interest in property and development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and willingness to learn.
- An entrepreneurial and client focused mindset.
