Allsop is a leading independent property consultancy with a strong reputation across commercial and residential real estate. As part of our continued growth, we are establishing a new Planning department and are seeking an experienced Associate Planner to play a key role in its development. This is a rare opportunity to help shape and grow a planning function from the ground up within a well-established, market-leading business.

You will take a leading role in delivering high-quality planning advice across a broad range of property and development projects, working closely with senior colleagues and clients.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing and leading planning applications, appeals and pre-application strategies.
  • Providing clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients.
  • Preparing and overseeing planning statements, reports and appraisals.
  • Leading engagement with local planning authorities and key stakeholders.
  • Supporting business development and helping to grow the Planning department.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.
  • Proactively creating business development opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively with Allsop’s wider property, valuation and development teams.
MAIN CAPABILITIES

We are keen to hear from candidates with a strong consultancy or developer led planning background. You will ideally have:

  • A RTPI or RICS accredited master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • RTPI or RICS membership or working towards chartered status (highly desirable).
  • Proven experience delivering planning advice and managing applications.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills.
  • A commercial mindset with an interest in the wider property market.
  • The ability to work autonomously and help shape a growing department.

  • Competitive salary package ÂŁ55,000-ÂŁ65,000 (depending on experience) plus annual bonus.
