Yeovil College is looking for a proactive Caretaker to join our Estates and Facilities team.

Working a 5-week shift pattern, including early mornings and evenings, you’ll help maintain our 21st-century campus, including our transformative £60 million redevelopment!

In this varied role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining campus cleanliness, managing waste and recycling, and swiftly addressing safety concerns.

You’ll conduct regular inspections, carry out minor repairs, and ensure all health and safety standards are met.

Additionally, you’ll respond to emergencies, assist with event setups, handle urgent cleaning tasks, and ensure campus security.

Working closely with students, staff, and teams, you’ll help foster a positive, supportive campus environment.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a caretaking / site keeping role in a similar environment.
  • Experience in general maintenance and health and safety practices.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage changing priorities.
  • Customer focussed and confident to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
  • A current driving licence is essential.
  • Able to commit to a five-week rotating shift pattern.
