Duties as Year 6 Teacher:
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to the Year 6 curriculum
- Prepare pupils for SATs and transition to secondary school
- Follow school planning or adapt lessons to suit pupil needs
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Mark work and provide feedback where required
- Liaise with school staff to ensure smooth handovers
Ideal Year 6 Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Confident teaching Year 6 and supporting SATs preparation
- Strong classroom management and adaptability
- Reliable, flexible, and professional as a Year 6 Teacher
- Able to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff
- Experience in upper Key Stage 2 preferred but not essential
