Step Teachers are working with a Primary School in Camden to find an experienced Year 1 Teacher to join their team starting in September 2026. This will start as a long-term supply position running until December, with the understanding that it will likely transition into permanent employment with the school after the first term.

This school was rated "Good" under Ofsted's previous rating system for schools, although a note has been made by Ofsted that it would likely receive an "Outstanding" rating if a new inspection were to be carried out now. The school was praised for an environment that allowed students to flourish without presenting barriers to their potential, and for a universal consensus from both staff and students that other people should be treated with respect and without prejudice.

A successful Year 1 Teacher should be ready to contribute positively to this culture of mutual admiration and respect, while making their classroom a fun and creative atmosphere to foster a love for education that will see their pupils through the rest of their time in school.

Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:

  • Manage behaviour effectively and promote a respectful learning culture
