OQS Odin Quality Security Ltd is recruiting a Security Officer for the Monday to Thursday day shift at a Tier One aerospace manufacturing facility in Wrexham. This is a front‑line, gatehouse‑based role at a high‑profile industrial site — ideal for an experienced, professional officer who thrives working independently.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be the primary security presence at the site during working hours. Based in the security gatehouse, your duties cover access control, vehicle management, regular site patrols, CCTV monitoring and key/swipe card management — all in a professional, process‑driven environment. This is a contracted role with consistent Monday to Thursday shifts and a reliable, fixed schedule.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gatehouse Operations
    • Open and lock gates and the site reception building at agreed times each day.
    • Monitor gates via CCTV throughout the shift when not on patrol.
    • Maintain the daily occurrence log book and complete incident report forms.
  • Yard Vehicle Access Management
    • Actively manage and enforce vehicle access limits in the site yard during working hours.
    • Control entry of transport wagons and service vehicles in line with client instructions.
    • Operate a physical barrier system when the permitted vehicle limit has been reached.
    • Log all vehicle movements during the controlled period.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor licence (front‑line, in‑date).
  • Verifiable five‑year employment history (BS7858:2019 vetting required).
  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
  • Confident, professional communicator — comfortable dealing with HGV drivers, site contractors and management.
  • Able to enforce procedures firmly, fairly and courteously.
  • Reliable, punctual and self‑motivated — able to work independently.
  • Physically able to conduct regular site patrols in all weather conditions.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing or logistics security.
  • Experience managing vehicle access or gatehouse operations.
  • Conflict Management Training (SIA‑approved).
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate.
  • CCTV Public Space Surveillance licence.
