The day-to-day organisation of the Directorate office.

Knowing the overall priorities of the Executive/Director and interpreting these priorities.

Planning and managing the diary and facilitating delivery.

Scheduling and following up commitments made by the Executive/Director.

Establish and use effective administrative working protocols and practices within the directorate group, whilst continually reviewing/improving the systems.

Assist the Executive/Director in developing, implementing and maintaining specific policies, protocols and related systems.

Representing and making decisions on behalf of the directorate at the appropriate level as delegated by the Executive/Director.

Having delegated budgetary responsibility for expenditure.

Building management health & safety (including organising fire wardens/training, first aiders etc.) and ensuring a safe working environment (including reporting maintenance work, overseeing cleaning).

Proactively engaging in Trust-wide policy development.

Take on some of the Administration Coordinator/Manager responsibilities and work closely with management, deputising and making decisions in their absence where appropriate.

The Executive Assistant/PA will work on their own initiative, with significant discretion to develop systems and will work within broad guidance from the Executive/Director.
