Join the team at Dove House in Creswell as a part time Administrator and be valued and supported. Working 22.5 hours per week, you will support the service's administration needs, including new starter paperwork, organising training and managing leave requests.
You will liaise with new staff members as you manage and verify their compliance documents, including DBS checks, identification, references and Right-To-Work. As a part time administrator, being organised and keeping the general office function running smoothly will be second nature; files will be in the right place and kept confidential, post will be cascaded, phones will be answered in a friendly and helpful way, and spreadsheets will be up to date and logical.
Working alongside senior staff members, you will manage staff absences and leave requests, maintain personnel files, and produce audits.
As a part time Administrator you will:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of effective means of systems within the unit, and between units and groups
- Act as a link between the public, outside professionals and other hospital departments and wards in respect of routine telephone calls and general enquiries
- Make diary entries, room bookings and transport bookings as required
- Maintain confidentiality at all times regarding patients, staff and hospital business
- Maintain, evaluate, and update the unit's filing and record keeping systems
- Provide clerical/typing duties as required, ensuring confidentiality of all clinical/administrative records
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within a similar role and/or environment
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology
- Previous experience of typing up medical reports and patient discharge letters
- GCSE English, C or above
Location: Colliery Road, Creswell, Worksop, S80 4BX. Be part of a new team at this residential service for adults under 65 years with a Learning Disability, Autism and sensory and communication differences located in Creswell, a 10 minute drive from Worksop. Dove House is a specialist, robust service to support people with ongoing complex needs and behaviours that challenge who are stepping down from hospital or to avoid an inappropriate admission to hospital and to enable them to return to their home area.
The model was introduced to emulate community care for individuals with complex needs in robust, spacious accommodation. The services are staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurses and Support Workers.
