Workplace Wellbeing Mental Health Therapist

Salary £47,500-£75,705 per anum; 0.5 FTE salary pro‑rated to £23,750 - £37,852.5 - Dependent on skills & experience

20 hrs per week. Tuesday and Thursday full days. Wednesday half day

Be the visible, trusted face of emotional wellbeing at our flagship corporate client in the city.

We're recruiting a Workplace Mental Wellbeing Specialist to join a well-established team, in a high-profile role embedded within the client's workplace wellbeing proposition.

This position plays a central part in supporting the existing wellbeing strategy and priorities, working proactively across the business outside of the clinic environment.

You'll partner closely with HR and senior leaders, delivering impactful wellbeing activity that strengthens culture, capability and day-to-day emotional health across the organisation.

The opportunity

This role is based at a flagship Nuffield Health corporate site with a stand-alone on-site Medical Clinic and forms part of an integrated multidisciplinary team (including GPs, Physiotherapists, CBT Therapists and Physiologists, alongside the equivalent role focused on physical health delivered by a Physiotherapist).

You'll also engage regularly with senior stakeholders across the business, making strong relationship-building and facilitation skills essential.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Working with the clients wellbeing team, your time will typically be split across:
  • Wellbeing events & communications: plan and deliver seminars, webinars and workshops on mental wellbeing topics (e. g. burnout, boundaries, sleep, resilience and mental health awareness).
  • Targeted team interventions: design and facilitate proactive interventions aligned to business needs, using available data insights and agreed with HR Business Partners and relevant leaders.
  • Signposting & education: provide clear guidance on available support routes and resources, helping colleagues access the right help at the right time.
  • HR support: advise HR Business Partners on challenging absence and mental health cases.
  • KPIs, resources & planning: contribute to quarterly reviews of group wide clinical outcomes with the clinic manager and wellbeing programme director, collate anonymous feedback, update intranet wellbeing resources, and recommend interventions and events.
  • You’ll also participate in monthly management meetings and support wider business activity as required within scope.

What we're looking for (essential)

  • Current registration/membership with one of: BABCP, BACP, UKCP, or NCPS

• One of the following

  • CBT low/high intensity accredited training, or
  • Accredited counsellor
  • Strong knowledge of workplace mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Confidence delivering group sessions (presentation/public speaking and facilitation)
  • Experience communicating effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Strong planning, organisation and customer-focused approach
  • Consultancy, training or education delivery experience
  • Previous professional services office work experience
  • Registration of at least one of the following professional bodies is strictly required:
  • British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
  • British Association for Counselling Psychotherapy (BACP)
  • United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP)
  • National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
