We have a new position available for a Warehouse Supervisor / Driver to be based in Workington. You will be joining an established local business which sells and distributes furniture and homeware to their loyal customer base throughout Cumbria.
The ideal candidate will have a background in warehouse and distribution, exceptional customer service and team leadership skills and will be someone who is very much hands on (this is not an office job!).
Your job will be to run the warehouse, supervise a small team of warehouse staff and delivery drivers and, foremost, ensure that customers receive exceptional customer service from your team.
From time to time you will also drive a luton van and deliver goods to customers.
Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of furniture products.
Be hands on (this can include heavy lifting).
Supervise a team of 4 to 5 people (including Van Drivers).
Ensure accurate inventory control and stock management.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Promote a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all staff and visitors.
Ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
When required, go out with Drivers on deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other warehouse activities.
Liaise with suppliers.
Organise and coordinate deliveries to customers.
Keep records up to date on the computer.
Delivery driving when it gets busy.
