An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Work Experience Coordinator to join the ETC team reporting to our Work Experience & Industry Placement Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in preparing learners for employment while supporting employers to develop the skilled workforce needed for the future. Working closely with curriculum teams, employers and external partners, you will ensure that high-quality industry placements and work experience opportunities are aligned with employer needs, the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), and national Further Education priorities around skills strategies.
As a Work Experience Coordinator with ETC, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers, coordinating meaningful work placements that enhance learners’ employability, career readiness and progression. You will work collaboratively with curriculum managers to ensure placements support vocational learning and respond to current and emerging labour market demands. The role will contribute directly to the College's ambition to strengthen employer partnerships, improve student outcomes and support regional economic growth through skills development.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of work experience with either a school or college setting, employer engagement or partnerships within education, training or employment services.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and employer compliance requirements.
- Experience using databases or management information systems.
- A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
