UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Work Based Assessor - Early Years to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis for up to one year.
You will support candidates undertaking vocational qualifications by carrying out workplace assessments, providing guidance and feedback and maintaining accurate assessment records. You will also build strong relationships with employers, promote work-based learning opportunities and contribute to the development of new business links for the College.
You should be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field and hold an assessor qualification such as D32/D33/D34, A and V Units, or a recognised assessor/verifier award. Significant relevant industry experience within the Early Years sector is essential.
As the role involves visiting candidates in their workplace, a willingness and ability to travel is required.
This post undertakes regulated work with children and a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check is required. A check will be made against the list of those barred from working with children.
