Registered with the General Dental Council and ensure maintenance of this registration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clinical Your primary responsibility will be to provide clinical support in a wide range of treatments for a broad client base
- Assist patients to and from the surgery and prepare them for clinical inspection and treatment
- Update computerised patient records dictated under guidance of the Dentist and/or Therapist as required.
- Be responsible for the efficient decontamination, disinfection, sterilisation and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment
- Have a welcoming and positive approach for our patients and provide physical and emotional support.
- Attend general anaesthetic sessions
- Provide support to Dentists and/or Therapists whilst undertaking epidemiological surveys.
- Accompany Dentists and/or Therapists on domiciliary visits
- When necessary undertake reception duties to include booking appointments, handling money, including weekly banking, dealing with complaints and sending correspondence to patients.
- Ensure that all Trust Policies are adhered to including safety procedures and cross infection.
