Cygnet Healthcareis looking for Bank Learning Disabilities Support Workerto join our team working at Oakwood Gardens.
Youll be contracted 0 hours per week(Nights from 07:45 pm till 08:00 am, Days from 7:45am - 8:00pm), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Oakwood Gardens.
Oakwood Gardenshas9 self-contained bungalows supporting adults over the age of 18 with learning difficulties & autism, located in WV5 0BR, Wombourne.
Supported Living in Wombourne provides nine tenancies.
The service empowers individuals with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours to live more independently.
The service offers personalised and tailored support in a private space, allowing the people we support to hold their own tenancy with a registered housing association.
Must have experience working with Learning Disabilities
About the Role
- Helping to promote resident independence
- Supporting residents in all aspects of day-to-day life, encouraging and promoting independence
- Monitoring of residents and reporting concerns to senior team members or managers
- Going out with residents into the local community to attend events, parks, restaurants and local activities
- Completing the residents records to help monitor health
Positive Attitude and Caring Approach Strong Communication Skills Able to work as part of a team
