The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Trainee Management Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing business in Wolverhampton. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day finance function, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end reporting and financial administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting accounts payable and receivable reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end procedures, journals and management accounts
- Supporting VAT returns and financial reporting
- Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding finance queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with financial analysis and process improvements
About You
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero or similar
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organisational skills
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
- ACCA or CIMA studies, or an intention to work towards a professional qualification, would be advantageous
- Manufacturing or engineering experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
