The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk for our Wolverhampton based client. Pay rate is £13.50 - £14.00 per hour. Working hours are 08:00 till 16:00 Monday to Friday.
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk your duties will include:
- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently using Sage 200
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Posting invoices, credit notes and expense claims onto the system
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any account discrepancies
- Investigating and resolving invoice queries with suppliers and internal departments
- Preparing supplier payment runs in line with company procedures
- Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts and records
- Monitoring outstanding balances and ensuring payments are made within agreed terms
- Assisting with month-end processes, including ledger reconciliations and reporting
- Producing ad hoc reports from Sage 200 when required
- Processing employee expenses and company credit card statements
- Ensuring all financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company policies
- Supporting the wider accounts and finance team with administrative duties as required
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 200 is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment
