The Best Connection Wolverhampton are recruiting on behalf of our established manufacturing client for a Dispatch Operative to join their team on a
temporary to permanent basis.
Pay rate is Β£13.50 per hour
Working hours are : 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday with early finish on Friday at 15:30
Key Duties:
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer components for dispatch in line with company procedures.
- Receive, inspect, and accurately book in incoming parts and materials.
- Ensure all dispatch paperwork, delivery notes, and shipping documentation are completed correctly.
- Label and package precision-engineered components to prevent damage during transportation.
- Schedule and coordinate collections and deliveries with couriers and transport providers.
- Maintain accurate stock and dispatch records using company systems.
- Conduct final visual checks to ensure coated components meet customer requirements before dispatch.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Assist with stock control, inventory checks and warehouse organisation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dispatch, warehouse, stores, or logistics role.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling customer orders.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Confident using computers for data entry and dispatch documentation.
