Are you an experienced Carpentry professional looking to inspire the next generation of tradespeople? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Further Education provider in Wolverhampton for a
Carpentry Lecturer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis starting in September.
This is an excellent opportunity for an industry specialist or experienced lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and training to learners studying Carpentry and Joinery programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Carpentry lessons to learners.
- Support students in developing their practical skills, knowledge and industry awareness.
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the ongoing success and development of the curriculum area.
- Relevant qualifications in Carpentry or a related discipline.
- Strong industry experience within the Carpentry and Joinery sector.
- Previous teaching, training or assessing experience is desirable.
- A recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Certificate in Education or equivalent is desirable, or a willingness to work towards one where applicable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
