Bard & Brazier is a Luxury towel rail manufacturer, part of the Davroc Group of companies. Our aim is simple: ‘To Produce the Best Towel Warmers in the World’. Traditional skills mixed with modern machinery enable Bard & Brazier to manufacture everything in-house; we even have our own plating plant.
Key areas of responsibility, duties and deliverables expected:
- Maintain standards of Housekeeping and Health & Safety
- Manufacture of new components to engineering drawings in line with timing plans
- Carrying out proactive maintenance and upkeep on machines
- Liaise with our Designers
- Maintain tooling to the correct standards and keep stock of all tools and holders
- Reporting of any concerns, issues and repairs
- Working in a systematic fashion following any instructions available
- All work checked before taking off
- Maintain working area to a high standard
- Working to 5S’s
- Good verbal communication skills
- Work to high tolerances
- Adhere to company quality awareness
- Meeting Health and Safety standards supporting others to do the same
- Assist other areas of the business when required to carry out the same or similar tasks
- Any other reasonable Engineering duties required
Working Week: Mon - Thurs 7AM-3:30 PM, Fri 7AM-1:30 PM
Qualifications Required: 3 GCSEs at 9 – 3 / A* - D (4 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Skills Required: Problem solving
Training to be Provided: Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with your employer and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
- EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering
- EAL Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations (Knowledge)
These are delivered in 4 blocks of 4 weeks throughout your course. On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 2 Engineering Maintenance Operative.
