This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the healthcare team within a stunning private school set amongst beautiful woodland surroundings.
Working during term time, you'll provide nursing support to both day and boarding pupils, managing everything from first aid and minor illness to long-term health conditions and unexpected clinical situations.
We're looking for a confident and experienced nurse who is comfortable working independently and making autonomous clinical decisions.
Previous school nursing experience would be ideal, although nurses with strong backgrounds in A&E, practice nursing or other autonomous clinical environments are also encouraged to apply.
The position is initially offered on a fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent.

What We're Looking For
- Registered Nurse with current
NMC registration .
- Minimum of 3 years' post-registration nursing experience
- .
- Ideally operating at
Band 6 level or above , or able to demonstrate equivalent experience and clinical responsibility.
- Previous
- school nursing experience would be highly desirable .
- Alternatively, a strong background in
A&E, practice nursing, urgent care or another autonomous clinical setting would be considered.
- Ability to assess patients and make
- safe, independent clinical decisions .
- Strong first aid and emergency response skills.
- Confidence administering medication and maintaining accurate documentation.
- A calm and confident approach to unexpected or urgent situations.
- Strong safeguarding awareness and an understanding of professional boundaries

Your Role
- Provide first aid, emergency treatment and day-to-day nursing care to pupils.
- Independently assess illness and injury and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Support pupils with long-term medical conditions and individual healthcare plans.
- Administer medication safely and maintain accurate medical records.
- Respond appropriately to accidents, injuries and medical emergencies.
- Promote the physical health, emotional wellbeing and general welfare of pupils.
- Support the health needs of both day and boarding pupils.
- Liaise effectively with parents, school staff, GPs and other external healthcare professionals.
- Maintain medical supplies, first aid equipment and clinical records.
- Ensure appropriate escalation or referral when a pupil requires additional medical assessment or treatment.
- Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional nursing practice.
