This is an exciting time of growth and change as our CAMHS service is currently working collaboratively with children and young people, and partners to deliver the Government's aspirations to increase access to prevention and early mental health support for children and young people.
To support the development of our Getting Help Team in Berkshire West, we are looking to recruit two qualified CWP’s, one each in West Berkshire and Wokingham. We are open to both full and part-time applicants for these roles but you must have a CWP qualification to apply.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to complete assessments and deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people as well as parent interventions. You will be working across education and community settings and healthcare sectors in England to support a whole community approach to emotional health and wellbeing.
You will have supervision by a Psychologist and will be given training and development opportunities in line with your role.
- To be trained and confident in the use of CYPMH principles, evidence-based interventions and routine outcome measures.
- To care co-ordinate and manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties.
- To co-ordinate and deliver individualised care packages for children and young people and evaluate these programmes, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with national guidelines and trust policy.
- To provide specialist mental health advice, consultation and signposting using an outcome-based triage model.
- To provide training to school staff, other professionals, parents and carers in conjunction with colleagues.
- Supporting the promotion of a whole school based approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and well-being.
- To train and mentor students and less experienced members of the team.
- To act as an autonomous practitioner with an understanding of own limitations and recognition of when to seek support.
